Section 1

Abbreviation, extension and initialization

(1) The name of this Act shall be “Nepalese Ships (Certificate and Logbook) Act, 2027”.
(2) This Act shall be applicable throughout Nepal and wherever it is located, it shall also apply to vessels registered and required to be registered in accordance with the Vessel Registration Act, 2027 and the owners, sailors and employees of such vessels.
(3) This Act shall come into force immediately.
